Tasting tips :

The robe is a beautiful, deep garnet red with hints of purple and blue.
The nose is open, strong and complex.
Swirling releases aromas of bramble, tobacco, and cistus and notes of torrefaction linked to production methods.
On the palate, a good attack with powerful body.
The flavours are earthy and rustic with accents of tobacco and pine dominating. Spicy and fruity overtones complete a rich, aromatic bouquet.
Tannins are present but are subtly mellow.
The finish comes from the wine’s ageing in oak casks and ends on powerful liquorice note.
An elegant, classic wine, with a beautiful aromatic complexity which can be drunk now or during the next four or five years. It goes well with Provencal dishes or lamb curries.
