An exceptional soil

The quality of our wines is in large part linked to the exceptional site. The richness of the soil is due to chalky deposits on top of clay and sandstone from the Permian era.

The estate is bathed in sunlight and nearby Mediterranean waves, which lend on favourable climate. The "ponant" wind from the southwest blows during the most scorching periods of summer. It cools the vineyard and prevents the vines from burning. In winter, sea winds from the southeast bring temperate air that prevents frost.

The estate has a view over 90 hectares of grapes varieties – Syrah, Grenache, Cinsault, mourvèdre, Carignan, Cabernet, Vermentino, Ugni Blanc. These grape varieties allow us the special blends of aroma, body, fruitiness and litheness.

Organic agriculture allows us to protect this soil from any aggression due to chemical treatments (as all chemical products are banished), but also to preserve and improve its quality (thanks to the improvement of both its humus rate and microbic life).
